Task
Your mission is to learn about what going green is all about. You will explore ways on how to save resources, produce less waste, and ultimately save the planet. Some tips you may find will include ways on how to save energy, recycling, and ways to cut pollution. Contrary to many beliefs, going green does not mean you have to rush out to buy a new Hybrid car. Instead, it is about the little things that everyone can do with ease. Your ultimate goal will be to take these tips and incorporate them into your own life.
While we encourage everyone to go green when they can as soon as they can, the library will be running a two month contest from June 1st to July 31st for young adults (Age 14-18). If you choose to participate, there are a few extra tasks you will be required to do.
· 1. Create a journal to keep track of your activities, thoughts, and tips.
· 2. Create a visual project of what going green means to you. This can include a power point presentation, comic book, video, or web page. Other ideas can be approved through a librarian. Be sure to include what you learned along the way on your own journey. All projects must be submitted by July 16th.
3. Look at some of the other participates and vote for your favorite! Voting forms can be picked up at the library. Voting will end on July 26th with the winners announced on July 31st.
